We said goodbye to MacKenzie and Illinois and headed to Indiana to visit our friend, Larry. The boys quickly settled in at Larry’s house. Larry is a builder and has a passive house he built himself and he is extremely knowledgeable on all things related to passive homes. We hope to have him help us with some of the details of our passive house build.

Larry, always a wonderful host, offered us to stay in the apartment over his garage with the boys. We didn’t want to get his apartment dirty with dog hair and paw prints so we set up our camper in his driveway.

For dinner, Larry made us a wonderful vegetable soup.

Larry made us pizza from scratch! It was so delicious! We made steamed veggies, hummus, and a split pea with barley dish. Larry is definitely a gourmet cook.

We went to a bar where Larry was playing with his band, Phoenix RiZing. Wow! Not only can Larry converse on just about any subject but he is a great musician as well. It was a special gig for a 1985 high school reunion. Larry showed up with so much energy and charisma. What fun!
