Our day was filled with a lot of cooking and laundry as we enjoyed the beautiful weather. On our travel days or adventure days, I like to have something healthy already made so we don’t have to scramble to find food. I made a big batch of sautéed greens and puréed a lot of onions to freeze for future use. I like to use Souper Cubes when I batch cook. I prefer the 1 cup and 1/2 cup versions as they provide the right portions when cooking (1/2 cup onion for sautéed greens) or serving (1 cup for lentils or greens). I also use the 1 cup portion for the dog food I make for the boys.

I also love Silipint lidded bowls. They’re cute and durable and very functional. You can use them in the freezer, microwave, or oven. They are food grade and do not leach chemicals into food. They also have great sales on clearance items during which the bowls are $3-4.

We hung out with Mike and Diane in The Villages, FL. They showed us a couple recreation centers within this massive retirement neighborhood which had pool tables, crafting, swimming pools, darts, shuffle board, pickle ball, etc. We went out to eat at Brownwood Paddock Square, a town square at The Villages. They have live music every night and a lot of people were dancing and really enjoying themselves. We had the boys with us so we had to stand on the outskirts otherwise Daniel and I would have been right in there dancing too.
