Ever wonder how much it costs to travel full-time in your RV? We’re keeping track of our expenses because it seems there is a common belief that full-time RVing is cheaper than owning a home. We’ve seen information that supports and refutes this belief from people who have lived this lifestyle.

A few notes…

We are very frugal. We like cooking at home because it’s healthier and cheaper. We don’t spend a lot of money on clothing or personal care items. Daniel cuts his own hair. We use the library. All this to say, we may spend less than the average couple.

Food: This expense will reflect restaurant dining and groceries for us and the dogs. Kristin feeds the dogs a lot of homemade food.

Tow vehicle fuel: The Tesla X came with free Super Charging for life so our fuel expenses will be lower than average. We do have to pay for charging for the Tesla Cybertruck but we only use the truck to pull the camper. We are also keeping track of miles traveled each day if you’d like to calculate how much fuel would cost for your vehicle.
