We woke up to a beautiful, misty sunrise in Georgia.

We drove south into Florida. It was an uneventful drive but we saw more police waiting to pull people over for speeding than I’ve ever seen in my life. Watch out if you drive I-75 through southern Georgia.

We drove to the campground we’ll be staying at for two weeks. We passed by a sign for “swamp nuts”. Daniel said it sounds like a medical condition. 😁

It’s hot and muggy today. We took the boys for a walk around the campground to check it out. We looked at the calendar of activities and I think we will attend happy hour on Wednesday at the campground. I found a lizard on my chair – glad it wasn’t an alligator!

We visited with Diane, Daniel’s sister, and her husband, Mike. The boys were ecstatic to see them!! We had a visitor – a Red Shouldered Hawk landed on the backyard fence at Diane and Mike’s.

I found a great quick-fix for a chocolate or sweet craving. I use 5-6 dates, 3-4 tbsp of cacao powder, and 1 cup almond milk. Blend it and pour over Grape Nuts cereal. So good and easy! You can even freeze this treat in an ice cube tray for a ready-made treat whenever a craving hits you.

We hung out and relaxed all day. I read most of the day. Before I retired, I had forgotten how much I love to read. Reading is a great way to relax and destress.

We braved Walmart for some last minute food shopping before Thanksgiving. We also got a new pressure cooker.

Happy Thanksgiving! We are having a very delicious vegan spread including homemade seitan (so easy to make in the pressure cooker), mashed potatoes with extra creamy oat milk, homemade stuffing (Daniel’s specialty), lentil crackers, roasted Brussels sprouts., and homemade whole wheat bread.
