We just did basics today: grocery shopping and more camper organizing.
Fun fact: Peter doesn’t like scary movies.

Today was the first day that Marcel could go for short walks. It was like trying to herd 20 squirrels. He’s 3 years old but he’s still like a puppy and was so excited he was all over the place. All he wanted to do was play. Poor guy. We’ve calculated that he can be allowed freedom (cage-free and off-leash) right before Christmas.

We have a busy weekend before we pack up and head south. Daniel booked more camping reservations in Florida and I went through more stuff and found items to put in storage.

We went to visit my Aunt Lil. As a bonus we got to see my cousin, Maureen! We drove the Tesla Cybertruck and, as soon as we pulled into the retirement community, we were surrounded by several elderly women asking about the truck.
My Aunt Lil was always a jokester when I was growing up. Today I told her she was always my favorite aunt. She laughed and said, “You poor thing”.
Quick story: My parents went camping at a state park with my Aunt Lil and Uncle Dave. Somehow Lil and Dave convinced a park ranger to tell my dad that he had parked his camper on a chipmunk crossing and needed to move. As my dad was trying to figure out how to deal with the clearly deranged park ranger, he saw Lil and Dave hiding behind a tree laughing hysterically.

We had dinner with my parents at Detroit Street Filling Station, a wonderful all vegan restaurant in downtown Ann Arbor, MI. Fun fact: Kristin’s parents are vegetarian.

We had a great lunch with our friend, Brenda. Daniel and Brenda used to work at the same hospital in Lansing, MI. Brenda is a dynamo psychologist, great conversationalist, and a whole food, plant-based follower. It was fantastic catching up with her.
